Who is Helping Hands?

Helping Hands Ministries of Oktibbeha County was born from a desire of local area churches to provide coordinated assistance to those in need.

In May of 1998, a new organization was formed; Helping Hands Ministries of Oktibbeha County.

In January of 1999, Helping Hands officially began ministry in office space donated by First United Methodist Church and was staffed by volunteers. In August of that year, office space was located at Peter's Rock Church of God, where they operated until 2008. The first professional intake counselor was hired in October 2000, greatly expanding the scope of the ministry.
